Saturday, March 11th is going to be a day full of celebration, libation, savings and frivolity – but no snakes!
Saint Patrick’s Day ( Lá Fhéile Pádraig) is Ireland’s National Holiday, named after Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. It started as a religious holiday, and became an official feast day in the 1800’s. It is a public holiday in Ireland, Newfoundland and Labrador and in Montserrat (Caribbean Island). It is also widely celebrated by the Irish (and Irish wannabees) all over the world, especially right here in good old Milford, Ohio!
